The latest bridge in Flathead County cited for repair is the Blankenship Bridge, over the North Fork of the Flathead River. The Montana Department of Transportation conducted a routine inspection of the bridge, finding that some issues that need further evaluation.
As a precaution, MDT has established a 5-ton limit on the bridge northeast of Columbia Falls on the Blakenship Road. You’ll see signs posted now, while our County engineers work with the state in determining what’s next.
