The Flathead County Deputy Sheriff’s Association tells us their negotiations with the County Administration and the Sheriff has, so come up short. The Deputies say they cannot take their concerns to arbitration, so they must come to an agreement in their mediation talks.
The current offer from the County includes an alteration of working hours, which would reduce the deputy’s income. They say the County is offering no wage increase to offset the loss. Additionally, the County is offering a 3-year contract…the Deputies are asking for something shorter in duration.
The talks will continue into next week.
