Ukraine War Explained at Waccholz College Center Tuesday Night

That, if it were to occur, would be tantamount to World War III. In the latest Presidential election, the debate over our country’s involvement was contentious. In order for us to more-fully understand what’s happening in Ukraine–apart of news coverage, the Rotary Club of Kalispell is presenting “A Window on Ukraine” Tuesday night, beginning at 6:30, at the Wachholz College Center. The key speaker is Rotary General Secretary and CEO of Rotary International John Hewko. His special guest Yuri Zinchenko, a Rotary International Global Grant scholar from Ukraine. Those attending will hear stories, view award-winning photography and see project demonstrations and film that illuminate Ukraine’s history, culture, and spirit. We’ll also learn some of the ways Rotary International responds to critical humanitarian needs in Ukraine and elsewhere. Attendees will learn some of the ways Rotary International responds to critical humanitarian needs in Ukraine and around the world through local and global partnerships. Proceeds from the event’s events go to “Power Up Ukraine”, to deliver mobile, lithium battery-powered Solar backup generators to hospitals, mobile clinics and humanitarian hubs across this embattled country.
