69th Montana Legislature Leadership Set

The leadership for the 69th Montana Legislature is set.
Leading the 32-Senate Republicans will be freshman Sen. Matt Regier of Kalispell, who last session, was Speaker of the House. The Senate President Pro tempore will be Sen. Sen. Ken Bogner of Miles City, the Minority Leader will be Sen. Tom McGilvray of Billings.
Majority Whips will be Sens. Dennis Lenz and Barry Usher, both of Billings, Sue Vinton of Lockwood and Daniel Zolnikov of Roundup.
In the House, Rep. Brandon Ler of Savage is the next Speaker of the House. Repl Katie Zolnikov of Billings will be House Speaker pro tempore. Rep. Steve Fitzpatrick of Great Falls will be House Majority Leader. Fitzpatrick is a former member of the State Senate, who sat-out the required time, conforming to the Term Limits law.
Majority Whips are Amy Regier of Kalispell, Braxton Mitchell of Columbia Falls, Jed Hinkle of Belgrade and Marta Bertoglio of Montana City.
On the Democrats side, Sen. Pat Flowers of Belgrade continues as House Minority Leader. Sens. Shane Marigeau of Missoula, Laura Smith of Helena and Susan Webber of Browning will be minority whips.
In the House, Rep. Katie Sullivan of Missoula becomes minority leader. Minority whips will be SJ Howell of Missoula, Tyson Running Wolf of Browning, Melissa Romano of Helena and Jonathan Karlen of Missoula.
It totals up to 32-Republicans in the Senate and 18-Democrats. I the House, it’s 59-Republicans and 41-Democrats.
