The past couple of years, more Electric Vehicles have been traversing the Going-to-the-Sun Road and now, there’s a charging station at the Apgar Visitor Center. That makes it possible to charge a vehicle on both side of Logan Pass with the other charging station at the St Mary Visitor Center. Both charging stations are free, but limited to 2-hours of charging time during periods of heavy demand.
For some time, the Park has been promoting environmentally sustainable operations. The National Park Service’s Climate Change Response Strategy aims to reduced carbon emissions to net-zero by 2050. Back in 2016, a charging station was installed by Xanterra at the Lake McDonald Lodge.
