One death and 3-severe injuries are the result of a spectacular 2-car head-on crash on Hwy 83 near Echo Lake Road back on Sunday, December 1st. The truck, driven by 41-year-old Dal Jensen Segall (pictured above) of Corvallis, rolled landing on its roof, then sliding down the highway. It caught fire. In the other vehicle, a RAV 4, 33-year old Wyatt Potts and 33-year old Teressa Brandt of Somers, along with her 15-year old daughter survived the crash, but are in critical condition at Logan Health Medical Center.
Now, we learn that Segall, who was driving the truck, is being held in the Flathead County Detention Center on $500,000 bail. He’s charged with vehicular homicide while under the influence and 3 felony charges of negligent vehicular assault. Judge Paul Sullivan set another hearing for Thursday, January 9th.
Kalispell Toyota has set up a GoFundMe page for Teressa Brandt, who the page says, remains in a coma and to help with funeral expenses for Wyatt Potts. So far, the GoFundMe campaigns have raised nearly $25,000 for Teressa and over $23,000 for Wyatt Potts.
