It’s easy to forget what’s in your pockets or your carry-on luggage when you travel. This past year, across Montana, 59-people found themselves in trouble with TSA…11-of those while traveling through Glacier Park International Airport.
What’s concerning is that these “memory lapses” are increasing. The most TSA firearms discoveries happened at Bozeman-Yellowstone Airport, followed by Billings-Logan and then, GPIA.
Those traveling with firearms can do so by checking their bags. One caveat, though: your firearms must be in a locked container, separate from your ammunition. You’ll be asked to open your bag and demonstrate that your weapon is not loaded. It’ll be red-tagged and available at your destination.
