If your travel plans put you 3rd Street East between 1st and 3rd Avenues East, you’ll need to make other arrangements beginning Monday. That entire 3 blocks is getting a major overhaul. Parking in this area along 3rd Street East will be non-existent during construction.
For at least the first couple of weeks into the project, both 1st Avenue East and 3rd Avenue East intersections will remain open, although 3rd Street East will be totally shut down. But on Monday, June 16th, the intersection at 3rd Avenue east will be closed for several days.
Preparations are now under way ahead of the start of the project, which will totally re-do the pavement and repair boulevards, sidewalks, and curbs.
