The Kalispell City Council Monday night work session had one objective: Review the PFAS situation in our drinking water and receive a report on Phase 2 of the project.
City Manager, Doug Russell, will present a report on the findings of a Preliminary Engineering Review with recommendations to keep our water within EPA standards. The report recommends a multi-year project that will cost upwards of $10-million. It will include a rebuild of one of the site’s wells, the Noffsinger Springs wells. This will replace the water lost when the Grandview wells are decommissioned.
As with all work sessions, no actions are taken. This is an opportunity for City Staff and Council Members to interact and, in public, openly discuss issues that will likely arise in the near future.
