All that’s left to complete the difficult chapter in our city’s history is the City Council’s ratification of the agreement worked out with the Flathead Warming Center. At their Monday night Regular Session, the Council will consider a resolution authorizing City Manager Doug Russell to execute the Settlement Agreement and the “Mutual Release,” which will officially rescind the Resolution that rescinded the Conditional Use Permit and permanently reinstates the original Conditional Use Permit.
City Attorney Johnna Preble has recommended that the city ratify the agreement as negotiated. She says the document will be submitted to the Federal Court of Judge Dana Christensen, which will conclude the matter.
