The Kalispell Fire Department will be led by a new Chief on Monday, May 5th with the retirement of our current Fire Chief, Dan Pearce.
The “new guy” is former Bellevue, Washington Fire Chief Jay Hagen. Chief Hagen began his career with the Missoula Fire Department over 30 years ago, earning his degree in Organizational Communications from the University of Montana. Later, he earned his master’s degree in Homeland Security & Defense from the Naval Postgraduate School.
City Manager Doug Russell thanks Chief Dan Pearce for his leadership in passing and implementing the Public Safety levy last spring, something our new Fire Chief will continue developing.
