On the site where KGEZ and it’s towers stood for nearly six decades, a new Amazon facility is about to spring up. KGEZ departed that property five years ago, relocating to our studios on 1st Avenue East.
According to information given to the city planners, this will be what they call a “last mile” facility – that is, the final place before a package is delivered. At the city planning office, the 28,000-square foot building is said to be $15.5-million in value.
Dick Anderson Construction has the contract for construction on the property known as the Gardner/Anderson Ranch. Under a planned unit development, the property will eventually have more commercial buildings and upwards of 170 single-family homes.
