Weight restrictions on all County roads are now in effect as signs are being posted. County Public Works Dir. Dave Prunty tells us the freeze and quick thaw is having a major impact on our roadways, especially with larger, load-carrying vehicles.
And so, the weight limits are either 350 or 400 pounds per inch of tire width, depending on which road you’re traveling. There will be fines for exceeding the weight limits so be aware of your vehicle’s weight, including any load you’re carrying. For more information, go to the County’s website, Flathead.MT.gov.
Public Works Dir. Dave Prunty will fully-explain the weight limits Friday morning at 8:10 on the KGEZ Good Morning Show.
