On March 4th, the Havre Sector of the US Border Patrol captured a smuggler bringing in three illegal aliens. We’re learning that the three illegals are members of the Venezuela-based Tren de Aragua gang. As is usually the case, little information is forthcoming from the Border Patrol or ICE but we’re hearing that the three are being processed for immediate deportation.
The smuggler, identified only as a US Citizen, is being charged with bringing in and harboring those entering the country illegally.
This is the second known Tren de Aragua breach of the Canadian border in the past few weeks. Last month, six were captured in Bozeman and Belgrade.
Tren de Aragua, originating in a Venezuelan prison about a dozen years ago, now has an international presence, including Colombia, Brazil, and the United States. We’re told they’re known for their violent activities and aggressive recruitment efforts.
