Kalispell Police investigators have been trying to unwind the events of September 7th and 8th when gunshots were fired and vandalism struck downtown and the south side of Kalispell. Looks like they have the goods on 53-year old Brian D. Werner of Kalispell, and, after an extensive search, they have him…in the Multnomah County Jail, in Portland, Oregon. He’s in the process of being extricated back to Kalispell.
Here in Kalispell, Werner is being charged with Criminal Endangerment and Criminal Mischief, but in Oregon, he’s facing additional charges of DUI, Reckless Driving and Failure to Report a Damage Accident.
In Kalispell, Werner was being sought in connection with a shooting spree in our downtown, where at least 2-buildings and a vehicle were struck by gunfire. No injuries have been reported. Police were able to use surveillance footage, collect DNA evidence and they seized a vehicle along with numerous firearms.
