The 2025 Great Fish Community Challenge begins with a Launch Party Tuesday night, August 12th at the Glacier Bank Park where the Glacier Range Riders play. There will be food, fun and 85 booths featuring all participating non-profit organizations. The event, developed and produced annually by the Whitefish Community Foundation, is now celebrating their 25th Anniversary.
This year, 85 local non-profit organizations will be working together — and separately — to fund their work in our local communities throughout Northwest Montana. Last year, over $6.6-million was raised, including $1.1-million in earned matching from the Whitefish Community Foundation. Appearing on the KGEZ Good Morning Show, Foundation President Alan Davis tells us there will likely be more matching funds this year.
The Great Fish Community Challenge runs through Friday, September 12th. Throughout the Challenge, many of the area’s non-profits will be featured on the KGEZ Good Morning Show. On Friday, August 22nd, the KGEZ Good Morning Show clears out of normal programming from 7:00 to 10:30 to present On Air With KGEZ. That morning, you’ll hear from non-profit organizations, Whitefish Community Foundation Board Members and other Community Leaders.
There will be many opportunities to give throughout the Challenge, making it easy to give to the organizations you choose with just one payment. Stay tuned to KGEZ throughout the Great Fish Community Challenge for updates.
