This year’s General Hunting Season, which ended Sunday night, brought-out nearly 11,000-hunters with 10.9% of them successful is bringing home food.
The most hunters checked-through at the Hwy 2 West Kalispell check-station…5,331 hunters with a 9.6% success rate. The most-successful hunters check-through at the Hwy 93 check-station near Olney…13.2% were successful.
All-tolled, 1,009-white tail deer were harvested–of those, 784 were bucks. 78-mulies and 59-elk were harvested this season.
