With last October’s discovery of a deer with Chronic Wasting Disease at the Flathead County Landfill, FWP is establishing a CWD Management Zone between Kalispell, Whitefish and Columbia Falls. As depicted above, the area known as Hunting District 170 runs from North Idaho Street in Kalispell towards the Evergreen area, then north on Hwy 206 to Hwy 2 in Columbia Falls…then west towards the Halfmoon area to Whitefish and up along Hwy 93 to the Olney area. The area is bordered on the west by Farm to Market Road.
Within this zone, hunters can purchase an over-the-counter B License for either sex whitetail deer. Each hunter is limited to one license, valid through the archery, general, heritage muzzle loader and late season, ending January 15th. There is not an overall quota on this new 170-20 B License.
