We’re told about 60 people attended what they called an “Empty Chair Town Hall” Tuesday night in front of the Flathead County Courthouse. The “empty chairs” represented Sens. Steve Daines and Tim Sheehy, and Congressman Ryan Zinke. Nationwide, GOP Congressional Members have been holding Town Halls in their districts attended by concerned and sometimes angry crowds.
We should point out that Congressman Ryan Zinke appeared on the KGEZ Good Morning Show last Friday while the House was in recess. He also took questions from Glacier High School students last week. The Senate, however, remained in session preventing Sens. Daines & Sheehy from visits to NW Montana; both Senators want to hear from their constituents, by phone, email or letter.
Nonetheless, the protest was organized by a new group called “Flathead Democracy.” The main target of their protests is Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency.
