The seasons are changing and the leaves are falling. As you rake your leaves to the curb, Kalispell Public Works will begin collecting those leaves next Monday, October 20th.
The idea is to get the leaves off the streets before the snow flies making streets and sidewalks slick.
This is a free service from our City–all they ask of you is a couple of things: First, rake the leaves to about 2-feet from the curb and second, make sure there are no rocks, dirt, cans, bottles or branches in your leaf pile.
This is a once-a-year offer, ending the week of November 17th.
Here’s the schedule: Monday, the northwest section and the extreme southeast parts of the city. Tuesday, the northeast section and the area between Center and Idaho Streets all across the city. Wednesday, all across the city north of Idaho Street up to West Arizona Street and up to the Buffalo Hill Golf Course, and then north of Evergreen Drive, including Village Greens and the area west of the Whitefish Stage Road. Thursday, the area both north and south of Three Mile Drive from the Bypass to past Farm to Market Road. Friday, leaf pickup will double-back to areas that need additional pickup.
