It was standing-room only at the County Commissioners meeting Monday as the group, Flathead Democracy urged the Commissioners to cut ties with the U.S Border Patrol and ICE and the entire Department of Homeland Security.
Flathead Democracy organizer Danielle Tuhy tells the Daily Inter Lake that their “overarching hope is that all of the city councils and the commission will make a statement saying they will not give any of our resources–tax dollars, or any information to ICE or DHS.”
A sign at the back of the room read, “Somewhere in America a little girl is hiding in an attic writing about ICE.”
