Across the state, we’re seeing more human/Grizzly Bear conflicts that ever before. Part of that is because our bear population has expanded greatly but more than that, the grizzly bears are moving into areas where we haven’t seen them before.
As the bears continue to seek out more places to live and survive, it’s inevitable that they will show up in places where humans frequent. To help us understand where potential human/bear conflicts could occur, FWP has set up a Grizzly Bear Conflict Dashboard. It’s a collection of information gathered by FWP’s Bear Specialists.
