Last month, the Havre Sector of the US Border Patrol captured a smuggler bringing in 3 illegal aliens. We were told that the 3 men were members of the Venezuela-based Tren de Aragua gang. As is usually the case, little information was forthcoming from the Border Patrol or ICE, but we were told the 3 are being processed for immediate deportation.
Not so fast! The criminal cases against 2 of the men have now been dismissed in Great Falls by Federal Judge Brian Morris, but they still are at risk of being sent to that notorious prison in El Salvador. The third man was apparently deported earlier and tried to re-enter the country illegally. All 3 of the men deny being part of any gang.
Back on March 4th, the Border Patrol told us the 3 were traveling with an American woman, who was also arrested for illegally bringing in and harboring the men. We still don’t know who she is and what is her current status.
