The Kalispell City Council’s Monday work session centers around the maintenance of the City’s equipment and vehicles. It may surprise you to learn that the City has over 325 pieces of equipment and vehicles that require constant maintenance. The City, at its maintenance facility on the south edge of 1st Avenue West, services everything from Fire Engines to police cruisers to lawn mowers and traffic signs.
The funding for this work comes from 16 separate sources in the City’s budget. Staff will present updates on the facility demands and limitations and what will be required going forward. Staff will also provide an overview of the proposed Solid Waste Equipment Storage Facility, included in next year’s budget.
Work Sessions are open discussions between City Staff, Council Members and interested citizens.
