The Kalispell City Council meets in Regular Session Monday night with a lengthy agenda. We’ll hit some of the high points.
First, the award of the contract for major renovations of 3rd Street East, between 1st and 3rd Streets East. Knife River is the successful bidder at $677,677. For that, they’ll reconstruct the street, replacing or repairing curbs, the boulevard and sidewalks.
It looks like the Council is poised to approve a couple of ordinances, aimed at ridding the city of junk vehicles and decay of property.
The Montana Department of Transportation wants to build a 28,000-square foot facility at 2905 Hwy 93 North, near Rose Crossing. They’re asking for the property to be annexed into the city and properly zoned, and a conditional use permit for that purpose.
The Council will vote on a Resolution for a Pubic Hearing on the Safe Streets For All Implementation Grant. The hearing would be at the next regular City Council meeting, Monday, May 19th.
