The Kalispell City Council opens the new year with the swearing-in of Mayor-elect Ryan Hunter (pictured) and Council Members Jed Fisher, Lisa Blank, Kyle Waterman and Wes Walker. As they take their seats on the dais, the City offers thanks to outgoing Mayor Mark Johnson and Council Members Chad Graham, Sandy Carlson and Jessica Dahlman.
Mayor Hunter is our guest Tuesday morning at 7:20 on Glacier Banks Community Conversations on the KGEZ Good Morning Show.
As the new members take their seats, their first act will be to elect a new Council President. After than, they’ll tackle several issues, including 3-Conditional Use Permit applications. Fatt Boys Bar & Grille wants to add an Accessory Casino within their existing place on Hwy 2 West. The Village Loop Multi-Family Project needs a C-U-P to develop their 36-unit project at 95 Village Loop. And Northwest Energy is asking for a C-U-P to expand their utility building on North Meridian Road.
The developers of the proposed Creekside Subdivision, on Farm To Market Road, ask asking the Council for a 2-year extension.
