There appears to be a lot of interest in our local governments as filing continues in our three incorporated cities in Flathead County. Up for voters to decide on Tuesday, November 4th are the Mayor and four Council Members in Kalispell, the Mayor and three Council Members in Columbia and three Council positions in Whitefish.
The latest filing is Kalispell is for City Council Ward 4, a seat currently held by Jed Fisher, who hasn’t made his reelection intentions known. Filing for that position is Bruce Guthrie, of Kalispell (pictured above). He’s new to city government, so you’ll get to meet him Tuesday morning at 7:20 on Glacier Banks Community Conversations.
Current City Council members Sid Daoud and Ryan Hunter have official filed to be Kalispell’s Mayor
So far, no official filings for the positions in Columbia Falls.
In Whitefish, Council Members Guiseppe Caltabiano and Ben Davis have filed for reelection.
Kalispell Municipal Judge Alison Howard has filed for reelection.
