Martel Construction has won the contract to handle collaboration for the construction of the new Public Safety Facility. A committee from the County evaluated the 3 RFP’s–Requests For Proposals, from Swank, Sletten and Martel Construction. Using a point-system, the decision was made to offer the contract to Martel.
Martel will lead pre-construction work, which includes project design, cost estimating and scheduling. A General Contractor will be selected as the process continues. The County’s Project Manager is Whitney Aschenwald.
The pre-construction phase is designed to give voters the information they’ll need to approve a bond-issue election this fall.
