Dog Sled racers are having to make alternative plans to qualify for the Iditarod with the cancellation of the Race to the Big Sky. This, the last of the qualifiers in the lower 48, has been running between Seeley Lake and Lincoln for the the past 42-years.
Blaming it all on our warmer winters, qualifiers now have to enter races in Canada or Minnesota if they plan to be a part of the Iditarod.
