The 2nd annual Run Wild 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run is set to take place on Saturday, May 31, in Columbia Falls. This community-focused event aims to raise funds for local programs including the Columbia Falls High School Band, the Boys & Girls Club of Glacier Country, and Land to Hand.
Participants can choose between a 5K run and a 1-mile fun run, both starting and finishing at the former Glacier Gateway Elementary School. The scenic, out-and-back course follows North Fork Road and is suitable for runners and walkers of all ages.
Beyond the races, attendees can enjoy a festive atmosphere featuring food trucks, a beer and wine garden, yard games, live music, and a raffle. The event runs from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, offering fun for the whole family. Registration is open until 2:30 PM on race day, with fees of $25 for the 5K and $15 for the 1-mile run. Proceeds will help replace aging band instruments and support youth programs in the community.
