Wednesday morning on the KGEZ Good Morning Show, Flathead County Commissioner Brad Abell told us that the Blankenship Bridge will be close for a few days next week. The County Road & Bridge Department needs to replace the bridge’s expansion joints, securing the structural integrity of the bridge. If all goes as planned, the work will begin Tuesday, June 3rd, with completion scheduled by Thursday, June 4th.
County Public Works Director Dave Prunty tells us emergency vehicles will be allowed to cross, if necessary. For the rest of us, making plans for alternate routes will serve us well.
