Commissioner of Political Practices Chris Gallus has rejected the complaint filed against Dr. Annie Bukachek by fellow Commissioner Brad Molnar. Gallus found the complaint “insufficiently supported”.
You may recall that Molnar was voted-out as President of the Commission a couple of weeks ago. She has now responded, saying the complaint is “baseless” and prompted by her political opponents.
It should be pointed-out that the 5-member board voted 3-2 to remove Molnar from his post as president of the PSC. One of those votes to remove Molnar cam from Bukacek.
Molnar accused Dr. Bukacek, whose district includes Flathead & Lake Counties, of using Commission resources to conduct personal business. To back his claims that she used PSC facilities to conduct personal business, he submitted papers retrieved from the office’s trash bin, including fax cover sheets and several other pages he called “business correspondence”.
