The search is on for the next President of Flathead Valley Community College. It’s been over a quarter-century since the College has needed a new President, with the retirement of longtime President Jane Karas at year’s end.
The Board of Trustees has appointed a Search Committee, working with the Association of Community College Trustees Searches. First up, an online survey of students, faculty and staff. And then, a series of Open Pubic Forums on Monday, April 20th. That day, there will be 3-sessions, at 10:00AM, 12:30PM and 4:00PM in the College’s Arts & Tech Building.
Be the end of this month, the Search Committee will have received their training and orientation, editing the draft Presidential Profile. At that point, the position is advertising along with targeted searches. By early July, the plan is to have all the applications in. By the end of July, the Search Committee will begin culling the list down to several finalists.
Then, in September, the Finalists will tour the campus, participating in open public forums with the goal of naming the next President by the end of September.
