The Kalispell City Council meets Monday night at 7:00 in a regular session featuring a public hearing on Police and Fire Impact Fees. This is the result of the recommendations made by the Impact Fee Committee. The last time Impact Fees were adjusted was a decade ago.
On the southeastern edge of the city, the Greenacres and Morning Star communities annexed into the city a few years ago in order to hook up to city services as their septic facilities were failing…an expensive prospect. The city has stepped in before and now the community needs the city’s help by establishing a special district to fill-in funding where grants have left off.
A couple of budget clean-up items. First, authorizing the implementation of the City’s Fiscal Year 2026 Budget while waiting for final tax receipts from the State, and then a Resolution to a 20-step pay matrix and increase for the city’s non-union employees.
