A suspicious fire in Creston last Saturday has destroyed 3-Montana Trolley Company buses and severely damaged a 4th. Owner Scott Davis estimates it’ll take upwards of $400,000 to replace them all.
Creston Fire Chief Gary Mahue tells us the fire began a little before midnight Saturday and had things under control by 2:30 Sunday morning.
Davis says he didn’t even know about the fire until Sunday morning. He suspects foul-play is involved, but has no idea why someone would want to destroy his trolleys. He tells Taylor Inman of the Daily Inter Lake that his trolleys have made so many great Christmas memories for so many people.
The Montana Trolley buses tour the city during the Christmas season showing off the wonderful residential light shows commentating our favorite Holiday.
Creston Fire Chief Gary Mahue reminds us that the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate how this fire began. They’d appreciate any information anyone might be able to provide.
