The Montana State Democrats have a new leader. Over the weekend at the Party’s State Convention, Shannon O’Brien was elected the new State Party Chair. You may remember that name…she’s a former Legislator and last year, ran unsuccessfully for State Superintendent of Public Instruction.
In accepting the position she told delegates, “We’re the party of affordability, good-paying jobs. We’re not the party for tax cuts for the billionaires and the wealthiest – and let me be clear: We are the party of liberty and justice for all,” she said. “I will do everything I can to bring us together for these values.”
There was one clear theme at the convention…party members are ready to get back to winning.
