It’s going to be an interesting election this fall in Kalispell. We now have 3 people vying to be the city’s next mayor. The latest filing is Kalispell Business Improvement District Chair, Kisa Davison (pictured above), who’ll be our guest Tuesday morning at 7:20 for Glacier Banks Community Conversations. So, that makes it a 3-way race with earlier official filings from City Council Members Ryan Hunter and Sid Daoud. If anyone else files for Mayor, it will force a primary election ahead of the November 4th Municipal Election.
In Kalispell, Lisa Blank has filed for City Council Ward 2, a position currently held by Chad Graham who has announced he’s leaving the Council after his term expires this year. In all there are 4 Council positions open. In Ward 4, Bruce Guthrie has filed for the seat held by Jed Fisher who hasn’t revealed his future plans.
Also, the Mayor and 3 Council Members in Columbia and 3 Council positions in Whitefish are up for grabs.
So far, no official filings for the positions in Columbia Falls.
In Whitefish, Council Members Guiseppe Caltabiano and Ben Davis have filed for reelection.
Kalispell Municipal Judge Alison Howard has filed for reelection.
