Last Saturday night’s ALERT Banquet, in the Trade Center Building at the Flathead County Fairgrounds, set a record for the event’s fundraising. The Logan Health Foundation President Michael Barth tells us they raised $755,000, which is over $100,000 more than they’d hoped for.
We’re told nearly 1,000-people attended.
The big push now is to buy a newer, larger helicopter–the Bell 429. Over time, more and better medical equipment has become available, but that takes more space in a flying emergency room. The new bird can now only handle that, but more medical personnel and, in the case of a child, the parent can ride-along to the E-R.
