The work on the main runway at Glacie Park International Airport is now three-quarters done. Week #3 work is complete as the airport reopens–on schedule, this morning at 11:00.
Ahead, one more exhausting week of 24-hour days to complete the repaving of the 9,700 foot-long runway, including 2-new taxiways. In addition, they’ve completed improvements to the electrical, airfield lighting and communications systems embedded in the runway.
The 4th and final week of work begins at 6:00 Monday night. Over 14-construction, engineering and Survey firms have been involved in the project to provide a smooth, safe runway for years to come.
Full service to and from Glacier Park International Airport is expected to resume in early August.
