Two school districts requested levies from their voters last Tuesday…one passed, one failed. Let’s begin with the successful ask…the Swan River School will use their $1.5-million, to pay for major maintenance projects. It was far from a slam-dunk, passing by just 43-votes.
In Columbia Falls, the district asked for $75.9-million to renovate their High School. It went down 61% to 39%. This the second time the district has asked voters for money to fix some serious problems at Columbia Falls High School.
