The committee is known as More Jobs, Less Government…the same committee that spent upwards of $22-million to defeat Sen. Jon Tester ins 2024, is now dipping into this year’s Democratic Primary.
Documents show the committee has spent close to $696,000 taking aim at Senate candidate Reilly Neill, of Livingston and Alani Bankhead of Helena. Both have been characterized as soft on immigration and wanting to impeach Donald Trump, if elected. These are depicted in direct-mail, texts and television commercials.
More Jobs, Less Government does list some of its biggest contributors, including New York billionaire Stephen Schwarzman, who’s also the CEO of the Blackstone Group, an equity firm. He also owns a piece of Bridger Aerospace, based in Belgrade–founded by Sen. Tim Sheehy and his brother, Matt, who is also President of a Blackstone company.
The same committee has already spend $96,000 opposing Independent candidate Seth Bodnar.
