An early-morning high-speed chase was safely resolved along Hwy 93 into the south end of Kalispell. It all began at 7:30 Wednesday morning when a Flathead County Deputy attempted a traffic stop at Hwy 93 and Cemetery Road. The vehicle, driven by 51-year old Laura Ann Johnson (pictured), failed to yield…forcing the chase. That ended on the south edge of the city when Kalispell Police Officers laid-down a spike strip.
Johnson is facing several charges, including the original charge, Violating a Restraining Order. She’s added felony Criminal Endangerment, along with Unlawful Restraint and Fleeing From Or Eluding A Peace Officer.
She remains in the Flathead County Detention Center with bail set at $50,000. Her next court appearance is Thursday, when she’ll be formally arraigned.
