The entire length of the Going-to-the-Sun Road is now open, as is the Logan Pass Visitor’s Center. Keep in mind that parking at the summit is limited to 3-hours, so don’t hike too far away from your car.
You’ll notice some changes in the operations at the Park this season. First off, the much-aligned Vehicle Reservation System is not a part of Park history. It’s been discontinued in favor of a shutter system. That system, operated by Sun Tours and Red Bus Tours, departs out of the Quarter Circle Park Lot at Apgar to Lake McDonald, Logan Pass, Rising Sun and the St Mary Visitor Center.
In the Park’s lower elevations, 600 new parking places have been added. The shuttle buses run on a reservation-only basis through the website, Recreation dot gov.
