Traffic on Hwy 2 West was tied-up for nearly 2-hours yesterday afternoon as first responders worked to deal with a fiery head-on crash between Kila and Marion. One person died.
The Montana Highway Patrol tells us a westbound Subaru Ascent crossed the center line, slamming into an eastbound dump truck. The Subaru did a 180, overturned and burst into flames. The driver died in that spot.
As for the dump truck, it continued east, coming to rest in the westbound lane where it also burst into flames. The driver was only slightly injured.
