42-year old Daniel Joseph Reiner of Kalispell (pictured) didn’t get very far in his attempt to break-out of the Flathead County Detention Center a couple of weeks ago. And for stabbing a Detention Center Officer with a pencil, he picked-up another charge: Felony assault on a Peach Officer, which has now been added to his initial DUI charge, along with driving with a suspended or revoked license.
His bail has been increased to $52,000 with a June 11th appearance before Judge Dan Wilson scheduled.
Here’s what happened: Reiner was being moved to another location within the jail when he stepped back and grabbed the Officer by the vest. Video footage show his taking a pencil out of his mouth and stabbing the officer in the neck and face. It was all caught on video surveillance. We’re told he admitted the whole thing to Deputies.
