All 3-branches of the Flathead River are running high and fast and, Sheriff Brian Heino tells us there have been a half-dozen watercraft incidents in the past few days. The most-serious involves 17-year old Evie Scoville from Columbus, Ohio, who nearly drowned in the Middle Fork late last month. She’s in an induced coma at Logan Health Medical Center and, we’re told, improving.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to cover medical costs and so far, nearly $125,000 has been donated by 814-people. They say they need about $150,000 to cover expenses.
According to her family, her boat overturned. She was submerged for about 10-minutes, rescued by her boyfriend and his family. Her boyfriend and nearby EMT’s applied CPR before she was taken to Logan Health by the ALERT helicopter.
