We have the first official reports of spending in the race to replace Sen. Steve Daines. The Federal Election Commission has released the first-quarter numbers.
Republican Kurt Alme has raised $924,643.51, about a third coming from individual contributions. The rest came from other political committees and transfers from other committees. including the Daines’ Montana Committee.
Independent Seth Boddar picked-up an astonishing $1,358,574.95 just in the month of March…the majority coming from individual contributions. Bodnar’s campaign says that’s a record for a Montana Independent candidate.
On the Democratic side, Reilly Neill brought-in $129,861.10. Michael Blackwolf recieved $11,046.
Libertarian candidate Kyle Austin raised $262,094.97. Another Libertarian, Tom Jandron received less that $5,000.
