The Bobcats football team was in the Oval Office at the White House Wednesday in honor of their first National Championship in 41-years. That historic game, between the Bobcats and Illinois State was broadcast on KGEZ back on January 5th. The Bobcats won it, 35-34.MSU Dir. of Athletics, Leon Costello, notes that, “Teams at every level of competition, in nearly every sport, have for years been invited to the White House to be recognized for their achievements, and we are all extremely proud that the Montana State Bobcats will join in that tradition.”
Coach Brent Vigen tells us it was a tough game, which was won in overtime. About his players, Coach Vigen says, “That says everything about who they are.”
Gov. Greg Gianforte joined President Trump, the coaches and the team at the White House.
