The work on the main runway at Glacier Park International Airport is now over half done. Construction has been continuous the first 2-weeks, working from 6PM Monday thru 11AM Friday.
Airport Manager Rob Ratkowski tells us they’ve now rehabilitated nearly half of the 9,700-foot runway, including 2-new taxiways. Along the way, they’ve completed improvements to the electrical, airfield lighting and communications systems.
The third week of the project begins again tonight at 6:00, when the airport will shut-down until Friday morning at 10:00.
