Last week, a Missing and Endangered Persons Advisory was issued for 35-year old Shawna Katherine Grove of Billings (pictured). The mother of 5, she was estranged from her husband. Police say she was last seen getting into a blue Chevy Traverse. We’re also told that domestic abuse was suspected.
Now we learn that Shawna has been found dead inside a vehicle in Big Horn County. No other information has been forthcoming. It appears that investigators with the Billings Police Department developed information that lead Deputies to the location of the vehicle in neighboring Big Horn County.
Now some backstory. Prosecutors say her estranged husband, Tanner Grove, is a primary suspect in her death. Persecutors say Tanner Grove went to a residence in Billings where she and her children were gathering their belongings. Grove claimed Shawna’s boyfriend had stolen his bicycle. An altercation occurred. Tanner Grove now faces 2-counts of assault with a weapon and violation of a no-contact Order.
